Never mind talking to the snails......Eleanor paints a stripe on them with nail varnish so that she can recognise them if they come back home! Scared LOL

No, she hasn't seen them again, so they are not "homing" snails.
The neighbours now think they have found a new species of blue striped snail! LOL

love the idea of designer snails, i actually looked for snails in my garden but i don't have any maybe they have had a call about the stripes and have hidden in case, got be to be the meds if we all talk to the abnorm,i am so easy amused,

I did hear a programme on Radio 4 a while back about homing snails (honestly). They have taken snails up to three miles away from where they were found, marked them in some way, and then released them and most of them have managed to find their way home. I just know you won't believe me, but I kid you not.

thanks jean i love this site and radio 4 you say,i normally have my local station on and they are nuts, could do with a bit more intellect maybe mmmmmmmmmmmmm,

i listen to my sister once and always wondered why,she is worse than i am and she's older,she talks to her car, asks it to ask the parking fairy to find a parking space and it works !!!!!!!!!!!! and she thinks i'm nuts
